About Cliterate

Anatomically correct and carefully designed for all learners, Cliterate explains the relationship between the clitoris, labia, vagina and pelvis. This interactive teaching model enables people of all genders, sexualities, cultures and abilities to learn vulva anatomy and feel more comfortable with their own body.

Cliterate is a powerful resource for healthcare professionals and educators to explain a range of topics to patients, clients and students.

Designed to sit on your desk, a shelf in your office or in the classroom.  Just put it in the carry bag and take it with you when you are out and about.

Having these conversations and using the correct anatomical language really matters. Cliterate helps to overcome the awkward and encourages people to understand and care for their bodies.

About the Clit Pack

We created this addition to the Cliterate model to help explain the sexual arousal pathways that cause the bulbs of the clitoris to become engorged with blood and expand.

Each pack contains a non-aroused/non-engorged clitoris and a glow-in-the-dark clitoris. They each fit perfectly into the Cliterate model.

Understanding how the body works is so important and we hope these resources support your clients and students. Please check our Sexual Arousal Pathways page to learn about how we use this product and the Cliterate model in clinical practice.

Why a glow in the dark engorged/aroused Clitoris? Other than it looking cool and being fun, this is how an engorged/aroused clitoris appears on a MRI scan. The blood flow to the clitoris and subsequent engorgement causes the clitoris to glow white during a MRI scan. We think this is pretty amazing!

About The Labia Diversity Pack

These additional examples of inner labias click into the Cliterate model to help explain and celebrate the differences in labia minora. Our intention with all things Cliterate is to provide tools to help facilitate conversations, encourage curiousity and reduce judgement. All labias are unique and we would love for more people to understand the role of this important anatomical structure.

Labia minora comes in countless shapes, sizes, colours, and textures.

This body part is as unique as a fingerprint and as distinct as a face. Find out more about Labia Diversity here.

  • Cliterate Model:

    • Weighing 650g, Cliterate is light and easily transported wherever your job takes you.
    • Made from a combination of moulded plastic and silicone, it is durable and will withstand many hours of clinical or classroom interactions.

    Clit Pack includes:

    • one purple silicon non-engorged Clitoris
    • one glow-in-the-dark white engorged Clitoris

    Labia Diversity Pack includes:

    • two silicon labia minora parts that demonstrate the variation that exists amongst vulva owners. Each labia is a different colour, dimension, shape and form. It's so important to learn that inner labias are an unique as finger prints, and as distinct as faces.
    • The parts click into the top of the middle layer of the Cliterate model after you have removed the generic inner labia that comes with the model.
