About the Pelvic Floor Muscle Kit
Learning about pelvic floor muscles is really important but it’s also challenging to explain complex anatomy that we can’t see. We know the value of using 3D resources to explain anatomy so we created this Pelvic Floor Muscle Kit to explain the location and function of pelvic floor muscles.

The pelvic floor muscles are a like a sling that keep the pelvic organs in place. Using these pieces in the Cliterate models helps with understanding of their proximity to the structures of the vulva that people are more familiar with – the clitoris, urethra, vagina and anus.
Included in the kit:
Deep Muscle Layer - this supports the pelvic organs - the bladder, bowel and uterus (when present) and assists in maintaining continence
Superficial Muscle Layer - closest to the skin and has a role in maintaining continence and sexual function.
Darker Inner Labia - this insert is required in the Cliterate model when using the deep and superficial muscles. This piece has an enlarged urethral opening and vaginal opening to enable the demonstration of catheters and swabs. Just click out the existing inner labia and replace it with this darker version when using the Pelvic Floor Muscles.
